Orbria "John" Haynes

John Haynes, 93, of Independence, MO passed away April 5, 2019. A graveside service will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, at Leavenworth National Cemetery. The memorial service is 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Carson-Speaks Chapel. John was born January 9, 1926 in Hugo, OK to Donald and Lora (Deering) Haynes. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He will be remembered as a loving and generous father and husband, who was really a father to all, and whom never met a stranger. He was also a very successful business man. John was preceded in death by a wife, Elfa Haynes; son, Edward Haynes; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Haynes. He is survived by his daughter, Helene Wallace and her life partner, Renee Tackett; and son, Jeffrey Haynes. He was a stepfather to Dean, Rickey, Vickey, Shirley, Bo, Terry and Ron Locke; and was also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
