Shawn Hedeen, 50, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 17, 2018. Services will be 2 pm, Sat., Oct. 27 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm, before the service at the chapel.
Shawn was born July 10, 1968 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Truman High School in the Class of 1987. He was a printer who had worked for Midwest Blueprint Company and the Independence Examiner. He loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and was a charter member of the Ride or Die Motorcycle Organization. He also enjoyed playing guitar. Most of all he loved his grandkids and family.
Shawn was preceded in death by his mother Jennifer Hedeen, brother Troy Hedeen and son Daniel Murphy. He is survived by sons Chase Hedeen; Justin Murphy; his father Larry Hedeen; brothers Scott Hedeen and wife Janeen, all of Independence MO; Darin Hedeen, Kansas City, MO; sister Wanda McAnany and husband Dennis, Olathe, KS and seven grandchildren.
