Olin W. Hedgpeth

Olin W. Hedgpeth, 97 of Lee�s Summit, MO, passed away Thu. Aug 10, 2006. Services will be at 11:00 am, Mon. Aug 14, 2006 at the Raytown Christian Church, 6108 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133 with the visitation being held 10:00 am until service time. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, KCMO. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Raytown Christian Church. Mr. Hedgpeth was born on Aug. 19, 1908 to Charles and Minnie (Roberts) Hedgpeth in Fristoe, MO. He had been a Home Builder and Real Estate Broker until his retirement in 1978. Olin was a member of Raytown Christian Church, VFW Post 5789, Scottish Rites, the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #1953 and was a 32 degree mason for over 46 years. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp from 1942 until 1945 serving with the 462nd Service Squadron. He served overseas 2 years and received the Good Conduct Ribbon, Five Bronze Stars on the ETO Ribbon. Olin was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Hedgpeth, eight siblings, daughter-in-law Caroline Riley, and a grandson Patrick Riley. He is survived by two sons, Robert "Bob� Riley and wife Margaret of Raytown, MO and William "Bill� Riley of Independence, MO; five grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Wakeman, of Pleasant Hill.
