Robert O. “Bob” Heffernan, 88 of
Raymore, MO passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, MO 64012. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Private inurnment at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, please perform a random act of kindness in honor of Bob or donate to Honor Flight KC, PO Box 46718, KCMO 64188. Bob was born December 29, 1929 in Pontiac, MI to Wilbert and Theresa (Dannehl) Heffernan. As a Korean War veteran, Bob proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 20 years. Mr. Heffernan retired from the National Weather Service. He was a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pat (Stygar) Heffernan; sons Mike (Anna), Tom (Sharon), Bobby (Linda), Peter (Nancy); daughter Theresa Bush (Charlie); grandchildren Shannon, Abby, Maggie, Jason, Janice, Nicole, Chaz and Taylor; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way! He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Semper Fi !
