Carla Jo Heflin (Gallagher)

Carla Jo Heflin, 53, Greenwood, MO died unexpectedly Jan. 27, 2019. A Celebration of Carla’s Life will begin at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Lee’s Summit First Assembly of God, 425 SW Oldham Pkwy, Lee's Summit, MO 64081; cremation. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm before the service at church. Kindly omit flowers. Carla was born April 2, 1965 in Warsaw, MO and graduated from East High School in Kansas City. She earned her nursing degree from Penn Valley Community College and was a licensed practical nurse in private practice. She was a member of the Lee’s Summit First Assembly of God where she was active in the Women’s Group and volunteered in the nursery. She was also a member Grace Point Assembly of God. She was a devout believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Carla was a bubbly, vivacious personality who lit up a room when she entered. She particularly enjoyed shopping, singing, dancing and her jewelry. She loved to travel to anywhere where there was a beach, sun and sand. Most important to her was her family, children and grandchildren.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents James and Sharon Gallagher and brother Ronald Gallagher. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years Mark Heflin, of the home; son Nathan Gallagher and wife Misty, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Madisyn Rose Heflin, of the home; sisters Laura Gallagher, Clinton, MO; Robin Morales and husband Daniel, brother Michael Gallagher, all of Kansas City, MO; sisters Crystal Sprouse St. Petersburg, FL; Jennifer Zucca, Independence, MO; and grandchildren Trai and Alysia Grace Gallagher.
