Linda L. Heflin, 73, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Monday evening at her daughters home in Shawnee, KS. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at the Speaks suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Linda was born July 16, 1930 in Mayfield, KY to James Benjamin and Mary Alda (McBride) Millsap. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. She was married to John Heflin on October 13, 1949; he died on November 23, 1984. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Kazan & Walt Meierarend of Independence, MO and Suzy & Don Gentry of Shawnee, KS; 3 sons, John & Kathy Heflin and Pat & Kathy Heflin of Blue Springs and Larry Joe & Shirley Heflin of Raytown; a sister, Betty Harper of Belleville, IL; 12 grandchildren, Steven Heflin Grand Rapids, MI, Wally Meierarend of Bates City, MO, Marc Heflin of Walnut Creek, CA, Kelly Gouldsmith, Katie Heflin, Zachary Heflin and Jacob Heflin all of Blue Springs, MO, Lola Gentry, Sara Gentry, Dona Gentry, Gina Gentry and Gary Gentry all of Shawnee, KS and 7 great grandchildren.
