Betty Burnes Heilig, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was 77. Betty was born to Robert and Mildred Sampson on December 27, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Betty had amazing artistic abilities and she would share her creations with family and friends. She enjoyed making jewelry from antique utensils, creating candles from scratch that smelled lovely, crocheting and knitting amongst many other things. Betty loved animals. She always had numerous pets and cared for them dearly. Perhaps one of Betty’s favorite thing to do was to research the family tree. She would study genealogy not only for her own family but would help others find their ancestors as well. Betty was a kind, loving soul and will be missed greatly.
Betty is survived by her son, Denny; daughter, Cynthia; grandchildren, Pilot, Racer and Sailor Parson and beloved pets, Cecil, Dela and Jesse.
She’s preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11am at Lobb Cemetery.
