Heinz Karl Heinzelmann, 78, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, September, 10, 2021. Heinz was born to Philip and Maria Heinzelmann on October 31, 1942 in Gottmadingen, Germany.
Heinz loved people, was ambitious and enjoyed learning new things. At a young age he found and married the love of his life, Rosie. In 1986 Heinz, Rosie and their daughter, Sandra immigrated to the United States to be near his sister, Mary Lou and family. They owned and operated a well known German restaurant called Rheinland in Independence for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working he was entertaining. He enjoyed listening to folk music, playing his guitar and leading the path to laughter. He never let age or obstacles get in the way of what he wanted. Well into his 60’s he bought his first motorcycle and learned to fly a plane. Heinz had a contagious personality and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends he’s met over the years.
Heinz is survived by his beloved wife, Rosie; daughter, Sandra Heinzelmann; sister, Mary Lou Pierce (Garnett) and lots of family in Germany.
Cremation is planned.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA in memory of Heinz.
