David Orin Heishman

David Orin Heishman, of Independence, MO passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. He was 72. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 10th at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence.

David was born on September 16, 1949 in Independence, MO to Clay and Fanny (Potter) Heishman. He attended William Chrisman High School and met and married the love of his life, Cynthia Eaton, also of Independence. David loved his job in maintenance at Fort Osage High School. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles. There was never a time that he didn’t own a motorcycle. He touched the lives of those he met and will be missed by so many.

David leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Cynthia Heishman; his three beautiful daughters, Shawna Heishman (Rob Lane), Connie (Mel) Grado; and Jamie (Jeremy) Squires; grandchildren, Angel (Erick) Ball, Cameran Heishman, Zach Heishman, Corey Lane, Devin Lane, Jeff Coats, Trent Macualey, Johnny Saysoff, David Grado, Marissa Grado, Diego Almonte, Celeste Almonte, Owen Squires, Daniel Squires, and Tommy Roe; great-grandchildren, Damian Heishman, Amira Heishman, D’myan Ball, Brielle Ball, Gabriella Heishman, Ezra Almonte; as well as, his beloved brother, Delmar (Sandy) Heishman.
