Richard Wayne Henley, 59 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel. Richard was born February 3, 1953 in King City, MO to James H. and Dorothy J. (Whited) Henley. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1971 and later attended York College in York, NE before graduating from Harding University in Searcy AR with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1976. He worked as an accountant for Gates Barbeque from 1989 until 2012. He enjoyed bowling and word puzzles and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Church of Christ. Survivors include; his loving wife Sherry of the home; 3 sons, Benjamin Henley and his fiancé Karri of Sugar Creek, Joshua Henley of Sugar Creek and Peter Henley and wife Tiffany of Independence, MO; his mother, Dorothy Henley of Independence, MO; a brother, Phillip Henley and wife Lynda of DeCatur, AL; 2 grandchildren, Connor and James and his loving dog Sandy.
