Claudine Herbert, 90, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. Her memorial service will be 2pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the ALS Association or Saint Luke’s Hospice.
Claudine was born on October 15, 1927 in Osage, KS. She volunteered at Bigham Waggner House and Truman East Hospital. She loved doing crafts and building doll houses.
Claudine was preceded in death by her husband Albert Herbert, her mother and step-father Mildred and Glen Helverson, her father and step-mother Claude and Evelina Bickford, and a brother Dean Bickford.
She is survived by her son David Herbert and his wife Tracey; daughter Cindy Zehr; two grandchildren David Zehr and wife Nicole, Dana Shields; five great-grandchildren Morgan, Ethan, and Cameron Zehr, Emma and Madison Shields; plus many nieces and nephews.
