Carolyn Sue Herren, 69, Raytown, MO passed away Aug. 12, 2012. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Aug. 16 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Carolyn was born Oct. 17, 1942 in Dunnagan, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. She worked at the Lipton Tea plant in Independence for thirty-one years and retired in 1997. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by son James Michael Herren. She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years James Herren, of the home; daughter Debra Lynn and husband Michael, Blue Springs, MO; brothers Delbert Chaney and wife Dona, Pleasant Hill, MO; Larry Chaney and wife Bonnie, Lee’s Summit, MO; Dwayne Chaney and wife Deanna, Independence, MO; great-aunt Lorada Perry and husband Dean, Grandview, MO; grandchildren Matthew, Kristin, Andrew, Timothy; great-grandchildren Chloe, Madison and James and many nieces and nephews.
