Pearl Hicks

Pearl Hicks, 73, of Independence, MO passed away on July 11, 2007 at her home. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Maywood Baptist Church, Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Maywood Baptist Church. Pearl was born on September 7, 1933 in Adrian, MO to Temple and Emily (Kirk) Estes. She was an active member of Maywood Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School, worked in the nursery and had many special friends. Pearl was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hicks of the home; daughter, Donna Decker of Grain Valley, MO; son, Duane Hicks of Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Jacob Decker, Jeremy and Bobbie Hicks; brother, Roy and wife Sharon Estes of Adrian, MO; sisters, Maxine and husband Russ Rullo of Aurora, CO and Ruby and husband Dale of Adrian, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
