JACK DEE HIGHLEY
Jack Highley, 70, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A memorial service will follow at 7pm at the chapel.
Jack was born on May 27, 1946 in Sweet Springs, MO to Carl and Maxine Highley. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. After his time in the service and working a few different jobs, he became a police officer in Independence. Another great accomplishment of his was being the owner of Fat Chance Bar and Grill. In his free time Jack enjoyed line-dancing, playing golf, riding motorcycles, and being with his friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids.
Jack will be re membered by his sons Chad Highley of Independence, MO, Jason Highley of Independence, MO; brother Terry Highley and wife Ardyce of Independence, MO; sister Connie Walton of Concordia, MO; former wife Connie Kerr of Lees Summit, MO; and grandchildren Christopher, Devon, Caden, and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
