Ann Earlene Hill, 84 of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Friday, November 1, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospital. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Donations may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Research Association. Ann was born June 28, 1929 in Burnsville, NC to Harley Paul and Virgie (McLaughlin) Norton. She had worked for A&P Grocery for over 25 years until she retired in 1984 as produce manager. After her retirement she worked restoring houses. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She is survived by; her husband, Roy Hill of the home; a daughter, Brenda Hill and her husband Roy of Independence, MO; a step daughter, Bobbi Graham of Independence, MO; a step son, Jim Hill of Independence, MO; 6 sisters, 2 brothers, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Jack Ham, her 2nd husband, Robert Beckett and 2 brothers, John and Tommy.
