Burhl V. Hill, 87, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the Medical Center of Independence. Burhl owned and operated Burhl Hill Carpets for over 40 years and sponsored the Burhl Hill Carpets softball teams in the 1970�s. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an Elder in the Community of Christ Church and attended the Cornerstone Congregation. Burhl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Terrell; daughters, Terry Forbes and husband Ken of Independence, and Wendy Hill of Lee�s Summit; grandsons, Clark Forbes and wife Michelle of Blue Springs, and Andrew Forbes and wife Angela and great-grandchildren, Drew and Rylie Forbes of Grain Valley. The family would like to thank the staff at MCI for their loving care of Burhl in his last days. Especially Kharma, Nate, Lumen, Jeanna, Tracey, Dr. Wekullo and countless others. A special thanks to Dr. Gregory Markway for his compassion and care during Burhl�s last year. According to Burhl�s wishes, there will be no services; his body will be donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center Willed Body Program.
