Donna Hill

Donna Kay Hill, 69, Independence, MO passed away Sept. 14, 2012. Services will be 10 am, Wed. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052, followed by a committal service at 12:30 pm at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Diabetes Foundation, 10580 Barkley, Ste. 400, Overland Park, KS 64052.
Donna was born June 19, 1943 in Kirksville, MO. She graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City. She worked at Schifman, Remley and Associates for seventeen years and was a member of the Basket Guild of Missouri and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed basket weaving, crafts and was a big fan of Elvis Presley.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd L. Hill in 1998. She is survived by son Troy Hill and wife Deseree, Providence, RI; daughter Amy Welch and husband Jeff, Blue Springs, MO; sister Linda Foster, Independence MO; grandchildren Jacob, Emily and Lauren.
