Virginia Frances Hill, 74 of Independence, passed away Tue. Jul 4, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital. Services will be 9:30 am Sat, Jul 8, 2006 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:00 pm Friday at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Sheffield Family Life Center in memory of Virginia Hill. Mrs. Hill was born on Oct 12, 1931 to Dorsey and Minnie (Kinsey) Kelly in Kansas City, MO. Virginia was a homemaker and had sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry for over 20 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed flower gardening, refinishing antique furniture and nature, especially birds and other animals. Virginia was a member of Sheffield Family Life Center, where she had been a greeter/usher and alter worker from 1987 to 1999. Virginia showed her faith in Jesus Christ by handing out her "gifts�, small boxes made from gift cards, which included Bible verses and newspaper clippings with wisdom phrases on how to be closer to God. Through her ministry, she touched thousands of people. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Hill in 2002. She is survived by a son, John Wesley Hill of Independence, two daughters, Teresa Lyn Ryan and husband, Nick of Naperville, IL and Linda Kay Loewer and husband, Mike of Naperville, IL. Seven grandchildren, Paul Hill, Kimberly Neuburger, Anthony Rose, James Rose, Jeremy Rush, Natalie Rush and Corey Loewer. Virginia is also survived by ten great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
