James Earl Hinkle, 59, of Independence, MO went home to the Lord on January 3, 2016, surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, at the Suburban Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. James was born May 8, 1956, in Independence, MO to Melvin and Esther (Fellers) Hinkle. He loved his Lord and his wife, sons, family and friends were blessed with the overflow. James was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked as a Millwright with Local Union #1529. He was also a member of Faith Covenant Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Susan Hinkle. James is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Melissa Hinkle; two sons, Derrick Hinkle and Brett Long, both of Springfield, MO; six siblings, Douglas Hinkle of Dunedin, FL, Ronnie Hinkle (Rose) of Otterville, MO, Faye Wisdom (Clint) of Gladstone, MO, Johnathon Hinkle (Karen) of Houston, TX, Frank Hinkle (Cheryl) of Independence, MO, Cheryl Beavers (Bill) of Versailles, MO.
