Dorothy Hinson

Dorothy M. Hinson, 86, of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Dorothy was born December 26, 1921 in Wilmington, DE to William Y. and Effie Belle (Reaugh) Johnson. She loved flowers of all kinds. Mrs. Hinson was known for her pretty smile and kind words to others. Dorothy enjoyed baking pies in her spare time, especially peach pie for her daughter. She is survived by her daughter Susie Hinson; brother Jim Johnson and his wife Katie; several cousins; friends Carol and Rich; her extended family at The Groves. Her family wish to extend their thanks to the 2 East Staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their care and love. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Jim Hinson in ’97; and her brother Reaugh Cassidy. Mrs. Hinson will be greatly missed!
