Phyllis Kay Hinton, 75 years old, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 29th, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on November 28th, 1946 in Marshall Missouri to Kenneth and Etta Marie (Sue) Isaac, and at the age of 10 moved with her family to Independence, Missouri where she later graduated from Van Horn High School. After graduating, she went on to drive a school bus, she was very loved by the community and won several bus driver of the year awards. Phyllis then spent the rest of her career working in advertising for Valentine Radford.
In her retirement, Phyllis was very family involved and was always a wonderful Mamaw and Aunt to all the kids. Phyllis had a very large family who loved her dearly and a stranger was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. She was the perfect definition of kind, loving, caring, giving and compassionate. Phyllis loved spending time with family, and all the babies the most, she also enjoyed spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Hinton; her grandchildren, Damon and Autumn Martin, Megan Hinton, and Danielle and Dusty Dodd; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Lilianna, Kiara, Bentley, Dyson, Miles, Talon, Hazel, and Grady; also her niece and nephew, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by both her parents, her sisters, Kenna Faye and Jan Isaac, husband Gary Hinton, and son Todd Hinton. Services will be held November 19th 2022 at 2:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St Independence, MO).
