Janice Ann Hisch

Janice Ann Hisch, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. She was 80 years old. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3rd from 12:30-1:00pm with a funeral service following at 1:00pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. Interment will take place at 11am, Monday, April 4th at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO.

Janice was born September 29, 1941, in Turner, KS to Wilmer and Thelma Jones. She graduated from Van Horn High School. Janice made a house a home for her family, spending some time in Ohio and Louisiana and, of course, in Jackson County. She loved interior decorating and being creative at home. She loved serving as a room mother in her children’s schools and making birthdays very special for them. Janice also enjoyed playing Bunko with her Bunko group.

Janice will be remembered for her strength and ability to adapt to difficult circumstances as she learned to live with macular degeneration for over 20 years.

She leaves behind her children, Chris Hisch and Amanda Laframboise; grandchildren, Chelsea Hisch, Hunter Hisch, and Emmerson “Emmy” Hisch; as well as, Cubie, her beloved Havanese.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Hisch; sister, Caroline Wilson and her husband, Charles; and her niece, Rochelle Wilson.
