Richard F. "Dick" Hisey

Richard F. "Dick� Hisey, 71 of Independence passed away Mon. Jan 15, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thu. Jan 18, 2007 at St. Ann�s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the church with the Rosary being said at 6:00 pm. Burial in St. Mary�s (Woodlawn) Cemetery. Mr. Hisey was born on Aug 2, 1935 to Fay and Etta (Nash) Hisey in Independence, MO. Dick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3430 and a long time active member of St. Ann�s Catholic Church where he had been an usher for many years. He graduated from Northeast High School and Rockhurst College. Dick�s family and faith were foremost in his life. He had a kind and loving heart. He will be most remembered for his warm and caring nature. Throughout the last months of his life, Dick kept his cheerful and upbeat attitude and was an inspiration to many who knew and loved him. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Hisey. He is survived by his wife, Pat Hisey of the home. Four children, Lori Jacobs of Independence, MO, Richard L. Hisey, Dallas, TX, Stephen Hisey of Lee�s Summit, MO and Suzanne Fiegener of Lee�s Summit, MO. One brother, William C. Hisey of Lee�s Summit, MO, three sisters, Betty Calcara of Shawnee, KS, Joanne Frobich of Jonesburg, AR and Mary Gregg of Independence, MO. Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
