Charles F. Hitch, 81, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Rosewood Healthcare Center.
Memorial services will be 10:30 am, Sat., Aug. 15, 2009 at Pleasant Heights Community of Christ; 4341 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Outreach International; 4341 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 6413.
Charles was born December 16, 1927 in Detroit, MI the son of Francis and Winifred (Skelding) Hitch. He was employed as Vice President with Manufactures National Bank for 37 years, retiring in 1990. Charles was a member of Pleasant Heights Community of Christ and had served as pastor. He was also a member of BOMA �" Building Owners and Managers Association, and the Optimist Club.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Neil and Jack Hitch and his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alberta M. (Thomas) Hitch; children, Michael Hitch of Independence; Alan Fox of Spring Branch, TX; Joy Galvez of Independence; and Stephen Hitch and his wife Eileen of Wyoming, MI; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brother, Norm Hitch of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
