Inis May Hitchcock

Inis Hitchcock, 90, of Independence, MO passed away June 25, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:00-9:45 am Friday, June 30, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 10am at Mound Grove Cemetery. Inis was born on December 18, 1926 in Independence, Mo to Clarence and Birdie (Reine) Redfield. She was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. For over 19 years Inis was a bookkeeper with the Community of Christ Church. After the death of her first husband, Perry Rosson, she married Leonard Hitchcock. Inis loved animals, especially her dog Shelly. She loved life and looked forward to time spent with family and friends. Survivors include; husband Leonard Hitchcock; step daughters Nina Stephens and Ruby Maxwell, step son Buddy Rosson; a large extended family and many friends.
