Delores Jean Hitt, 84, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Monday, August 19, 2013.
Delores was born December 6, 1928, in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Floyd and Millie (Pratz) Anderson. She had worked for Lake City Ammunition and later retired from Calmar Plastics. Delores enjoyed gardening, decorating for the holidays, shopping and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband, Doug Hitt; daughters, Carolyn Cox and husband David, Cindy Barber; son, Jim McMahan; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her sister in law, Earlene Anderson. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Douglas Anderson; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. 64055. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Wayside Waifs.
