Bernice Holland

Bernice L. Holland, 89, of Buckner, MO passed away August 27, 2012 at Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO. Bernice was born February 13, 1923 in Hays Township, Greene County, Arkansas the daughter of the late Luther L. and Emma (Bibb) White. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and her brother. She graduated from Lake Side High School in 1941, being the first in her family to accomplish that. Bernice is survived by her loving daughter, Patsy Massey and husband Lonnie; three sisters; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of friends. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the nursing staff of Oak Grove and Preferred Hospice of Lexington for their care and concern during her final days in this life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
