Jack Holland, 68 died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Family and friends will celebrate Mr. Holland�s special life with a visitation from 6 - 8:00 pm, Wed, Oct 13, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home, 1501 E. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Holland was born on Sep. 18, 1936 and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City and Independence Area. Currently he was residing in Bates City, MO. He attended Nevada, Missouri High School. He had served in the US Navy from 1953-1959. After 30 years of service with Teamsters Local 41, he retired from Yellow Freight Transportation in September of 1992. His retirement was spent enjoying everyday life with family and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his mother and father, John J. and Ethel (Rackley) Holland and grandson, Matthew Kirmse. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Janice Hancock Holland. Five sons, Kenneth Holland, Randall Holland, Kevin Kirmse and wife Tammy, Brian Kirmse and wife Missy, Rusty Kirmse and wife Laura. He also leaves four sisters, Betty Sinsley and husband Frank, Ada Householder, Florence Johnston and husband Wayne, Barbara Shumaker and Husband Raymond; Ten precious grandchildren, Brittany, Jeremiah, Kris, Taylor, Ashlee, Riley, Tannre, Chase, Alex, Layton and great grandson Blake and several special nieces and nephews.
