Marian Holley

Marian Holley, 98, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014. Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Eastside Baptist Church. Marian was born on January 7, 1916 in Independence, MO to Forest and Myrtle (Swank) Tye. Marian was a graduate of north East High School, and had lived in the area all of her life. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. Marian was a Charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and most recently a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she delighted in teaching Sunday School. Her greatest joy was that of her children and grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Austin A. Holley in 1978, and her son Ronald A Holley in 1941. Marian is survived by her son, Bob (Jean) Holley, sister, Ruth Drown, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Eastside Baptist Church, or NorthCare Hospice.
