Glenn Ray Holloman, 86, passed away on September 1, 2021 and his wife of 63 years, Linda Beth Holloman, 81, passed away 7 hours apart, on September 1, 2021. They were residing at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville, Missouri, where they had spent the past few years together after leaving their home at Lake Pomme de Terre. Glenn and Linda took extreme pride in their home and yard and were both very involved in their local Homeowners Association for over 20 years. They both enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and boating together. They were all about taking care of their family and each other, as family meant everything to them.
Glenn was born on July 13, 1935, and lived with his parents, Earl and Ruby Stone in Paragould, AR. He graduated from high school in 1953 before joining the United States Army Reserve, where he proudly and honorably served for two years overseas in Germany. Glenn would often share his story with others of how he was in the military with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley! On February 22, 1958, he married the love of his life, Linda Horne in Paragould, AR, and to this union, 3 children were born: Bradley, Jeana, and Derrick. Glenn worked at General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City for over 34 dedicated years and was an active member in the Union Local 31. Those who knew him will remember him as a hard worker and a very good provider, who always made sure his family got plenty of rest and recreation. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, home remodeling and being a handyman. Glenn was a very independent and strong man, who was quiet but loved to laugh and always loved a good joke.
Glenn and Linda are lovingly remembered by their daughter, Jeana Walz; grandchildren, Justin Holloman, Camryn, and Baylee Holloman; great-grandson, Jonah Cowden; Glenn's sister, Sheila (Keith) Boyd, Linda's sisters, Shirley Douglas and Kathie (Donnie) Miles, numerous nieces and nephews, former co-workers, former neighbors and friends.
They were preceded in death by their sons, Bradley and Derrick Holloman. Glenn was preceded in death by his siblings, Sandi Graybill, and Houston Holloman, and parents, Earl and Ruby Stone.
