Ruth Holloway, 88, Independence, MO passed away at her home Sept. 10, 2016. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Sept. 15 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the chapel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the East Independence RLDS Church and was involved in the girl’s work program for many years. Besides being a homemaker, she also spent many years working in the PTA program. Ruth started painting at age 60 and had painted many works of art She also had written a Christmas book explaining the true story of Christ’s birth. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Norman Holloway, son Richard Holloway, daughter-in-law Cathy Holloway, grandchildren Joe Holloway and Renee Brewer Hicks and great-grandchild Taylor Hicks. She is survived by son Terry Holloway and wife Ruth; daughter Gayle Brewer, all of Independence, MO; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Because of her loving spirit and kindness towards everyone, she will be truly missed.
