Irene Scott Holman

Irene Scott Holman, 91 of Independence passed away Sat. Feb. 3, 2007 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Visitation will be from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Tue. Feb 6, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Wed. Feb 7, 2007 at Md. Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Holman was born on Mar. 20, 1915 to Winfield and Ida (Keough) Gindhart in Independence, MO. She had been employed at the Gas Service Company for many years. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, bowling and flowers. She was very artistic, especially with crafts and painting. One of the highlights of her life was being active in the Civil Air Patrol with her family. She was of the Christian faith. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Robert Warren Holman in 1986. She is survived by a son, Robert Gary Holman of Concordia, MO and a daughter, Marcia Bond and husband Jerry of Liberty. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
