Bruce Holsworth

Bruce Holsworth, 66, of Independence, MO passed away February 20, 2019. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, February 25, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial will be at Brooking Cemetery. Bruce was born August 19, 1952 in Independence, MO to James and Elizabeth Holsworth, both of whom preceded him in death. Bruce was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Holsworth. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Bruce worked for Armco Steel, and in 1985, he went to work for the City of Independence, where he retired. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Holsworth; four daughters, Lisa Zimmerli (Louis), Rebecca Vaughn (Danny), Kelly Smith (Darren) and Kate Holsworth; grandchildren, Christopher Lackey, Destany Zimmerli, Chandler Adamson, Britten Adamson, Jayden Smith, Alexia Searcy, Callie Searcy, Neiko Searcy and Kailer Searcy; sisters,Sherry Campbell, Susan West (Larry) and Debbie Rom (Rod); brother, Tim Holsworth; and twelve nieces and nephews.
