James E. Holsworth

James E. "Jim� Holsworth, 73, of Independence, Mo. died March 12, 2004, at the Liberty Terrace Care Center. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be noon - 2 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Jim was born Sept. 23, 1930 in Independence and lived here all of his life. He was a supervisor at Wonder Bread Co. for 20 years and retired in 1978. He was actively involved with the youth of our community and served as a Cub Scout Master of Den #203, a baseball coach for the Gateway Sporting Goods Team, and was a teacher at his church, the West College Congregation of the Community of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Holsworth, of the home; daughter, Deborah K. Rom, Butler, MO; son, Bruce Holsworth; daughter, Susan Gail West; son, Timothy B. Holsworth; daughter, Sherri L. Campbell, all of Independence, MO; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
