Emma Jean Tuck Holt, 83, formerly of Sallisaw, OK, was born October 31, 1930 in the New Hope Community and passed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Independence, MO. She was the daughter of Beauford and Ida (Denny) Tuck. She married the love of her life, Roy D. Holt on November 1, 1946 in Van Buren, AR. Emma and Roy had one daughter, Barbara Lynn Holt who preceded her in death. She was a lady who shared kind words to everyone, loved her family dearly and always stayed strong through the trials of life. She never worried about her self but worried about everyone else. Her most enjoyable times were spent at Lake of the Ozarks with husband, Roy and her annual family escapades to Oklahoma and around the world. She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband of 67 years, Roy Holt; sisters and brother-in-laws, Dorcus (Dot) Melton, Edith and Charles Smith, Bernice and Anthony Perrelli and Joyce Brown; brothers and sister-in-laws, Carl and Sandy Tuck, Esther Tuck and CB Tuck. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida D. Tuck, Her father Beauford and step mother Nancy Tuck, sister, Wynona Branham and brother Paul Tuck. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Additional funeral services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK with visitation from 10:00 a.m., until service time at the chapel. Burial will follow in Sallisaw City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Judes Children Hospital, a charity respected for their work with children.
