Rubie Hooker (Lindley)

Rubie Hooker, 82, Blue Springs, MO formerly of Springfield, MO, passed away July 29, 2016. Visitation will be 9-10 am, Tuesday, August 2 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 followed by graveside services at noon at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Rubie was born March 9, 1934 in Birmingham, AL. Earlier in her life she enjoyed cooking but recently loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Rubie is survived by daughter Dianna Minor and husband Michael, Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Tiffany Croft and husband Tony, Grain Valley, MO; Chelsey Williams and husband Dustin, Independence, MO; Connor Reeves, Prairie Village, KS; great-grandchildren Carson Croft, Kyndall Croft, Ireland Williams; sisters Peggy Berkholtz; Jennie Souhrada; Diane Cupp; Vicky Rois; and Debra Sanders, all of St. Louis, MO.
