Helen Altha Hoover

Helen A. Hoover, 73, Independence, MO passed away May 18, 2006 at Blue Hills Rest Home. Helen was born Nov. 13, 1932 in Independence. She attended Graceland College and later earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from CMSU. Helen and Ray A. Hoover were married Aug. 22, 1952. She worked for the Mid-Continent Public Library and retired in 1986. Helen was a member of the Village Heights Community of Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Ray in 2000. She is survived by daughter Anne R. Monaco and husband Steve; granddaughters Teresa and Michele Monaco, all of La Mesa, CA; sisters Ruth Raveill; Alice Belscamper, both of Independence; two nieces and two nephews. Cremation. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. The family requests contributions to Blue Hills Rest Home, 2207 N. Blue Mills Rd., Independence, MO 64058.
