Bill was born on Thanksgiving Day November 26, 1931 in Buckner, MO the son of Willie E. "Chili and Virginia Marguerite (Clark) Hostetter. Bill lived the first 40 years of his life in Buckner, moving to Blue Springs in 1972 where he lived until his death. He was an Eagle Scout in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and tried to live by the Scouts Oath. Bill graduated from Halls Memorial High School in 1949 and from College at Wentworth Military Academy in 1951. Bill was an avid supporter of the Royals baseball team and hoped for the Kansas City Chiefs to win another Super Bowl. Bill co-owned Hostetter Chevrolet Co. and Hostetter Standard Oil (at the Cozy Corner Caf) in Buckner. He had worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Kansas City, Hostetter Insurance Co., Starlight Real Estate, Suburban Land Brokers and Swope Real Estate in Blue Springs. Reece in Blue Springs, retiring in 1997. Bills success came from his honesty, integrity and love of people to treat each person, as he wanted to be treated and with the backing of his wife, Alice, always at his side giving her total support. He loved and found special joy with his grandchildren and there are no words to write of how much his wife and daughters will miss him. When you think of Bill, you think of his smile and telling a good story, or giving you well intended advice and his last dollar. But he would want you to know he was a Baptist by faith and loved the Lord with all of his life heart and soul. He is survived by his one and only love, Alice L. (Ward) Hostetter, who he married on December 20, 1950. Four daughters; Linda A. Hostetter, Kathy L. Nelson and husband Rick, Virginia K. "Ginger Gonzalez and her husband David, Billie M.
