Alma James Houston

Alma James Houston, 78 of Sibley, Mo passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence. A private graveside service and burial was held in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. A memorial services will be at Oak Grove Restoration Branch on March 25, 2023 at 10am. Alma was born on November 12, 1944 on a farm in Toledo, Iowa the youngest of 4 children to Carl and Marjorie (Hand) Houston. He attended school in a one room school house in the community of Haven, Iowa. He was diagnosed at an early age with cerebral palsey but did not let that slow him down. He was able to help on the family farm and work other jobs throughout his life. He also had a farm Eagleville, MO, Oak Grove, MO and eventually settled in Sibley. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, working outdoors and his favorite color was purple. He was a member of Zion’s Hope Restoration Branch, where he loved to serve as a Priest within the priesthood.
