December 16, 1946 — February 7, 2014

Jill D. Howe, 67, of Independence, MO, passed away February 7, 2014. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, February 11, at Carson Speaks Chapel. There will be a Gathering of friends and family from 10:00 am to 12 noon, Saturday, February 15, at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Burial to take place in the Forrest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Jill was born on December 16, 1946 to Richard and Jeanette (Martin) Howe in Mount Pleasant. The eldest of 2 daughters. Jill worked for 38 1/2 years with the Department of Health and Human Services before retiring in 2012. She was a member of NARF, and Pearl Harbor Survivor’s Sons & Daughters. She also liked to attend The Old Thrashers Reunion each Labor Day weekend. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and especially going to Las Vegas. But more than anything, she enjoyed time with her sister. Jill is survived by her sister and brother in law, Lisa and Edwin Patterson; very special nephew, Nathaniel Howe Patterson; and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents.
