Jayne Howell, 84, of Sibley, MO passed away July 5, 2020 at her home. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, at the Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at the Buckner Chapel with burial to follow at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Jayne was born April 21, 1936 in Sibley, MO to Jefferson Davis and Etta Marie (Williams) Pemberton. She attended school at Halls Memorial in Buckner, MO and was a part of the first class to graduate from Fort Osage High School in 1955. Jayne worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years, all of which were served at the Buckner Post Office, retiring in 2001. Jayne attended Sibley Christian Church her entire life until it closed its doors in 2009. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jayne was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 36 years, Lowell L. Howell; and one brother, Thomas Jefferson Pemberton. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Smith (Chris) of Sibley, MO; sons, Cliff and Doug Uren of Clinton, MO; grandson, Bo Cash (Jackie) of Sibley, MO; granddaughters, Kellye Germann (Ryan) of Carrollton, MO, Alexis Smith of Sibley, MO; grandchildren, Travis and Jessica of Lake of the Ozarks; great grandchildren, Carter and Colton of Sibley, MO, Jaxxon and Hank of Carrollton, MO; numerous step children and step grandchildren; and her special friend and neighbor, Bev Quick.
