Frank Eugene Howerton, 88, of Independence Mo, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation after his suffering a personal injury at home and recovering from Covid-19.
He was born July 15, 1933, in Blue Summit MO. Mr. Howerton was a graduate of Iron River MI High School and he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. Mr. Howerton was a retired tinsmith. He was a private pilot and owner of B-25 "Fairfax Ghost."
Mr. Howerton is survived by his wife, Sigrid L. Ockerstrom-Howerton, three sons, John E. Howerton (Becky) of Crockett CA, Joel D. Howerton (Veronica) of Lee's Summit, MO, and James A. Howerton (Deanna) of Independence, MO, thirteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Howerton was preceded in death by a daughter, Lesa Jean Howerton, and a son, Paul Richard Howerton II. Cremation is planned with a private family service.
