Gary Michael Hubbard

Gary Michael Hubbard, 74 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Nebo Cemetery near Randolph, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Gary was born July 19, 1942 in Independence, MO to Pleas W. and Helen Faye (Pfeister) Hubbard and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Northeast High School. He was a truck driver for Fleming Babcock Inc. for 29 years until he retired in 2010. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He was a longtime member of Nebo Baptist Church. Survivors include; his loving wife of 52 years, Betty of the home; a son Mike Hubbard of Independence, MO; a sister, Myrna Meads of Independence, MO; a grandchild, Gary Michael Hubbard and numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.
