Judith Ann Hubbard, 70, Independence, MO passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.
Judith was born June 3, 1943 in Rich Hill, MO the daughter of Orval W. and Betty Delcina (Carr) McCaughey. She worked for over 31 years with Jim’s Family Restaurant, retiring in 2010, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She married Charles G. Hubbard on March 4, 1958, they later divorced but remained close friends. Judith enjoyed gardening, bowling and she was an outstanding cook.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly K. Smith and husband Daniel, Anthony C. Hubbard and wife Marilynn, Shelly R. Neises and husband Raymond, and Mark C. Hubbard; grandchildren, Renee, Michelle, Boots, Brandon, Crystal, Jennifer, Amber, Jake, Megan, Morgan and Jordon; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Carole Cypret and Linda Harper; and additional nieces, nephews and family. Judith was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian and Mitchell Smith; 2 great grandsons; brother, Orval Wilson McCaughey, Jr; sister, Laura Louise Addy; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
