Guadalupe Ochoa Huerta, 59, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 12, 2017. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am, Friday, Jan. 20 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Rosary at 6 pm, Thursday followed by visitation until 8 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.
Guadalupe O. Huerta was born Bakersfield, CA to Tomas and Rosario Villa on June 21, 1957. She went to school at Southeast High School in Kansas City. She married Armando Huerta on December 23, 2000 in Independence, MO. She received her Cosmetology License between 1983-1985. She worked for Praxair for 9 years. In 2007 she became the official co-owner and investor in La Fuente Mexican Restaurant. She was a strong individuals who instilled great qualities such as resilience and perseverance to her children and their children. She was a very caring person who loved to help others. Her final request selfless request was to be a donor of any organs to save the lives of others.
Guadalupe Huerta is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Rosario Villa; Her Aunt Eulalia Ochoa; her brother Tomas Villa; and her son, Marc Garcia.
Guadalupe Huerta is survived by husband, Armando Huerta; her children, Antoinette Garcia; Ponciano Garcia; Nikki Carillo. Her twin sister, Beatriz Garcia; her brother, Alexander Villa, her sisters, Lillian Edmondson, Loretta Poole, and Sylvia Heskett. She had 10 grandchildren and lots of cousins, friends and other loved ones.
