David Edward "Dave" Huey

David “Dave” Huey was tragically taken from his loving family on September 2, 2018. Visitation will be from 3-6 pm Sunday, September 16, 2018, the Rosary will be prayed at 6 pm and Funeral services will be 6:30 pm at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. David was born the only child to Howard and Darlene (Cameron) Huey in North Kansas City, MO on November 2, 1965. He was given the nickname “Precious” at birth and carried that nickname through adulthood. Dave graduated from St. Mary’s High School class of 1984. After high school Dave went to work for Hallmark where he remained for over 30 years. It was while at Hallmark that he met the love of his life Tonya Davis. In Tonya he found his soulmate and life partner. They recently celebrated 22 years of marriage. They enjoyed going to the lake, taking drives in the country, and watching the view from their back porch. Dave loved being the pit crew, working on stock cars, and recently began working with small engines. Dave is dearly loved and will be forever missed by his family and friends. Survivors include: wife Tonya Huey; parents Howard and Darlene Huey; father-in-law Bill Davis and his partner Karen Mendoza; mother Frances Davis and her partner Clint Mathany; brother-in-law Gerald Davis; sister-in-law Melissa McIntyre; nephews Case Davis and Mason McIntyre nieces Brittney Boeninghaus and her husband Tony and Makaela McIntryre; great niece and nephew Lilly and Cayden; a large extended family and many friends.
