Ember Blake Green Huey passed away on Saturday November 21st, 2020. Though stricken with obstacles from conception, Ember's quiet determination to fight for life against the struggles that ever seemed to come at her was inspiring. She was here for too short a time, yet she lit many lives with rays of love. She enjoyed music and loved to hear her Papa and Mimi sing to her anytime they could. She was thrilled with each little victory she managed she figure out and overcome. And never tired of hearing where her toes were.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Sandy Otis, grandmother Farrah Brandy Otis, and her uncle Joshua Blake Otis for whom she carried a name. And is survived by her great aunt Candy Koehler and two cousins.
Not without a fight, she is survived by her mother and most dedicated support Jamie Lyon-Otis, and Jamie’s partner for strength in her burden she carried, Justin Lowe. She is also survived by her Paternal great grandmother Martha Lyon. Her loving grandparent, Casey and Amie Lyon, her aunts and uncles Kasie Lyon and Lucas Coleman, Julia Lyon, Dezi Black, Chris Purcell and Megan Rizer. And cousins Valley Coleman, Steven Wood and Jasper Purcell. Many family and friends as well, that won’t forget those fleeting moments when their world was that much brighter for them.
We will hold memorial services Sunday, November 29th, to start at 2pm. Located at the Glenaire Community
Center 309 Smiley Rd, Glenaire, MO 64068.
In lieu of flowers we request a donation to Children’s Mercy Hospital-NICU for the heroes who fought for us. Made in Memory of Ember Huey to carry on her torch.
