Rose Huey

Rose Mary Huey, 97, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Rehabilitation Center of Independence. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO.

Rose Mary was born on October 10, 1914 in Deep Water, MO to parents Ernest and Lena (Galbraith) Huey. She moved to Independence in 1943 where she served as a faithful member of Waldo Avenue Baptist Church. She later became a member of Grace Heartland Community Church. In 1976, Rose Mary retired from Montgomery Ward, where she had worked as a reconditioning clerk for 32 years. Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents and loving sister, Blanche L. Huey. She is survived by many cousins and friends.
