Robert S. Hunt, 73, of Independence, died February 21, 2007 . Visitation will be held on Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the Farview Restoration Branch Church in Independence, Mo. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery, Buckner, Missouri. Robert was born on March 19, 1933 in Independence, Mo. the son of Claude and Eva (Colston) Hunt. He worked in Construction as a Painter and was also employed as a Deputy Sheriff for Jackson and Morgan Counties. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor activities. Robert was also a skilled craftsman in furniture refinishing. He served as an Elder for the Church of Jesus Christ Farview Restoration Branch. Robert was a member of the National Rifle Association and was a member of Palmer�s Senior Center where he enjoyed the exercise program. Mr. Hunt married Carolyn Sue McClary in 1950 and she preceded him in death. He married Mary "Sue� (DeGraffenreid) Tuell in Miami, Oklahoma on December 15, 1975. She survives him. He is also survived by his children: Eva L. Collins and husband Jim of Cole Camp, Mo., Debbie S. Metscher and husband Jim, Sheryl K. Garcia, Vickie M. Nelson and Bud Hunt all of Independence, Mo., Bill Hunt of Blue Springs, Mo., Bob Hunt and wife Kelly of Kearney, Mo., Cathy S. Curatalo and husband Frank of Blue Springs, Mo., Anita R. Draggoo of Maysville, Mo., Jeffrey A. Tuell and wife Charlotte and Mark R. Tuell and wife Dawn all of Independence, Mo., 39 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
