Christopher Shane Huntington

Christopher Shane Huntington, a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was 43. Chris was born to Albert Huntington and Sharon Alger on May 16, 1978 in Independence, Missouri.
Chris was a hard worker and has owned his own trucking company for many years. While on the road he crossed paths with a beautiful young woman. Little did he know she’d become his wife and best friend. Chris and Kate were married on September 15, 2018. Chris had a huge personality and always made his presence known when walking into a room. He had a big heart and was truly the life of the party. Chris loved his family and friends fiercely, was proud of the fact he was Daniel Boone’s 8th great grandson and never took a day for granted. He looked forward to any opportunity to hop on his Harley and ride with the many friends he’d made over the years. Always in style of course because he was known to be quite the fashionista. Chris’ motto was “Go Big or Go Home”. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation is scheduled from 6-8pm on Thursday, March 24th at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Mo. His funeral service will be on Friday, March 25th at 10am with burial to follow at Mount Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation in his memory.
